Hands On In Nature
At DataTorque, environmental responsibility is important to us. We are actively committed to protecting the environment and looking for ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
As part of this commitment, we’ve partnered with Trees That Count and Conservation Volunteers New Zealand (CVNZ). Recently, many of our team donned their boots and grabbed a spade to plant native trees in the Ōwhiro stream catchment in Southern Wellington.
Tree planting is an annual DataTorque initiative – since 2019 we have contributed to Trees That Count, funding and planting 1000 native trees annually. It’s a win/win. Our native trees provide many environmental benefits – storing carbon, cleaning waterways, moderating soil erosion and providing habitats for our native fauna. And what we give nature, nature gives back. Our team were rewarded with the earthy satisfaction of being hands on in nature and the fun of a joint effort.
