Discovering Diwali with Our Amazing Team!
For another year, our incredible team has immersed us in the captivating celebration of Diwali, the largest Hindu festival spanning five days of lights, sweets, and new beginnings. Each day of this millennia-old festivity is infused with meaning and rituals that pay homage to different deities.
During our regular morning tea, Dhruvit shared with us the details of each day of Diwali.
π Day 1: Invoking Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kubera. Marking the beginning of the festivities, we adorn our homes and worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kubera. The purchase of new items symbolises the hope of attracting wealth and prosperity into our lives.
π Day 2 (Choti Diwali): Krishna's Triumph. On the second day, we celebrate Choti Diwali or Naraka Chaturdashi, paying homage to Krishna's triumph over the demoness. It is a day filled with spiritual significance and reflection.
π Day 3: The Main Diwali Celebration. The third day culminates in the decoration of our homes with clay lamps (diya), colorful rangoli, and lights. The night is illuminated with the traditional Lakshmi Puja and a spectacular fireworks display, symbolising the victory of light over darkness.
π Day 4: New Year and Family Reunion. On this special day, we celebrate the New Year. Visiting relatives and friends, exchanging greetings and hugs, we renew bonds and share joy.
π Day 5: Celebrating the Sibling Bond. The fifth day is dedicated to the unique relationship between brothers and sisters. Siblings visiting each other and prepare delicious food, strengthening family ties and spending quality time together.
Thanks to our team for sharing this beautiful tradition with us. To all those who celebrate, we extend our warmest wishes for a happy Diwali! π
