Meet the Team: Hannah Reyes

Experiencing extremes and challenging herself is part and parcel of Hannah Reyes’ operandi. Musician and adrenaline sport fan, this Test Analyst is full of surprises. She says it has been a wild ride being part of DataTorque’s team over the last year-and-a-bit, where she’s enjoyed learning the intricacies of tax and how clients use our software so she can test it to ensure it’s working really well.  

Originally from the Philippines, it is the Northland town of Kerikeri she calls home. Her passion for music, an important part of Philippine culture, gets full expression when she’s home, performing with her ukulele group at all sorts of occasions and venues. Her family all sing and play the guitar, and as new migrants it was music which helped build their new lives in New Zealand. 

Giving back is important to Hannah and she spent a summer teaching music and computing to seasonal workers from Kiribati. In contrast, she’s also loved paragliding over Switzerland’s Interlaken and bungy jumping in Queenstown. In true Hannah style her next goal will be pushing another boundary – sky diving!
